Dr Taqwa Al-Hadidi, faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department at Amman Ahliyya University, has won the Best Scientific Paper Award at the 10th International Conference on Civil, Structural and Transportation Engineering (ICCSTE 2025), held at the Imperial College Conference Centre in London, UK.

Her award-winning paper, titled “Spatiotemporal Analysis of Chicago Ridesharing Demand using Modified Spatial Error Model,” presents an in-depth study of ridesharing service demand in Chicago, using an enhanced spatial error model to examine the impact of demographics, education, crime, and transport infrastructure on usage patterns.

The results underscore the importance of integrating public transport with ridesharing services and the need for smart urban policies based on accurate data and scientific evidence.

This recognition marks a significant academic achievement for Amman Ahliyya University, reinforcing its leadership in scientific research, particularly in engineering and sustainable transport, and enhancing its global academic presence.
