AMMAN – Greater Amman Municipality continues campaign to clear obstacles and encroachments from pavements and streets to ease movement of vehicles and pedestrians, according to Rakan Shrayyeh from the municipality’s removal and irregularities unit.

Shrayyeh said Friday the plan covers removal of all types of barriers, whether plastic, iron, or metal, from main and side streets without exception.

The campaign aims to expand road capacity and reduce traffic congestion across the capital, he added.

Amman Municipality confirmed the drive will continue until all violations and obstacles are cleared, ensuring smoother traffic flow and a more organised and safe urban environment.

The campaign, launched last Thursday, includes removing concrete blocks and other structures that obstruct pavements and streets as part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and regulate traffic in the city.
