Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, suffered a broken collarbone in a cycling accident.

PSG said the Spanish manager, who led the club to last season’s Champions League title, will undergo surgery following Friday’s incident.

The club posted on X: “After a cycling accident on Friday, PSG coach Luis Enrique received emergency treatment and will undergo surgery for a fractured collarbone. The club offers full support and wishes him a swift recovery. Further updates will follow in due course.”

British agency PA Media noted PSG beat Tottenham in last month’s UEFA Super Cup and opened the French league with 3 wins. PSG next face Lens on 14 September.
