Arab Bank sponsored the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025 in Jordan as the event’s platinum partner. Organised by the non-profit MENA organisation under the patronage of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the hackathon brought together over 250 young participants from across the Kingdom. The sponsorship reflects the bank’s commitment to social responsibility and its support for initiatives that empower Jordanian youth in science, technology, and innovation.
Part of NASA’s global initiative, the hackathon aims to promote innovation and youth engagement through open NASA data to develop creative solutions to challenges in space, Earth, climate, and energy. The event, held over two days at The ARC in King Hussein Business Park, featured workshops, mentorship sessions, and technical challenges involving programmers, designers, scientists, and entrepreneurs.
Participants enhanced their skills in creative thinking, coding, scientific communication, and sustainable innovation while collaborating to devise practical solutions for global challenges.
Engineer Salam Abu Al-Heija, founder and CEO of MENA and official representative of the NASA Space Apps Challenge in Jordan, highlighted the event’s importance in empowering Jordanian youth, saying: “We are proud to collaborate with Arab Bank as the platinum sponsor of NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025.
