Depression approaches, to miss Jordan

Amman - Latest weather maps indicate a cold air mass advancing in the upper atmosphere, accompanying a depression across various layers towards the eastern Mediterranean basin.

Thunderclouds are active over the Mediterranean and can be monitored via satellite images in the coming days.

Arab Weather center specialists confirm the system's effects will not reach Jordan due to its projected path pulling it away from the region. A subtropical high-pressure system near the Kingdom will act as a barrier against the weather disturbance.

Secondary impacts may affect parts of the eastern Mediterranean, including a chance of limited thunderclouds over far northern Egypt, parts of the Palestinian coast, and narrow, random geographic areas of northwest Syria and Lebanon.
