On Sunday, the US State Department expressed its concern about the storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the accompanying inflaming of feelings.

The ministry also said that the United States is very concerned about a decision issued by the Israeli occupation government that allows settlers to establish a permanent presence in the Homesh settlement in the northern West Bank.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller added, in a statement, that the move to return the settlers to Homesh is inconsistent with the Israeli commitments of the US administrations, and that the increase in settlements in the West Bank represents an obstacle to achieving the two-state solution.

The Israeli occupation army minister had decided earlier to start implementing the law of canceling the disengagement from settlements in the northern occupied West Bank, which would allow Israelis to return to these settlements that were previously dismantled, according to the Palestinian News and Information Agency, Wafa.
