A Syrian government oversight delegation visits Amman on Wednesday to review Jordan institutional mechanisms to combat corruption, as both sides seek stronger cooperation on transparency, compliance, and integrity governance.
The delegation, representing Syria Central Commission for Inspection and Control and headed by chairman Amer Al-Ali, meets Chairman of Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission Muhannad Hijazi.
Hijazi says visit aims to transfer institutional expertise and set structured cooperation between the two bodies, including training, capacity building, and exchange of technical know-how. He adds move reflects broader trajectory of Jordan-Syria relations.
Talks focus on Jordan experience in corruption prevention, oversight tools, and promoting integrity culture within public institutions. Hijazi voices hope engagement leads to practical outcomes rather than remaining consultative.

Programme includes presentation by Samia Abu Sharif, head of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Unit, outlining national AML/CFT framework, its role in data collection, risk assessment, and policy coordination.
