The Ministry of Defence (United Arab Emirates) announced that Emirati air defenses engaged nine ballistic missiles, six cruise missiles, and 148 drones on Monday.
According to the Emirates News Agency, since the start of what it described as the Iranian attack, 174 ballistic missiles launched toward the country have been detected. Of these, 161 were destroyed, while 13 fell into the sea. Authorities also detected 689 Iranian drones, intercepting 645, while 44 landed داخل the country’s territory.
Additionally, eight cruise missiles were detected and destroyed. The attacks caused some damage and resulted in three deaths and 68 minor injuries.
The ministry strongly condemned the targeting, describing it as blatant aggression and a clear violation of national sovereignty and international law, and affirmed the UAE’s full right to respond to the escalation.
