The value of credit facility approvals granted by the Jordanian banking system increased by 12.8% during the first two months of the current year compared to the same period last year, according to the latest report from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).
The report indicates that the total value of new credit facility applications reached approximately 2.656 billion dinars in the first two months, up from 2.189 billion dinars during the corresponding period in 2025.
Of these applications, 51,100 requests were accepted, totaling a value of 2.469 billion dinars. Meanwhile, banks rejected approximately 17,200 applications with a total value of 185.5 million dinars during this timeframe. This growth in credit approvals reflects ongoing activity within the domestic financial sector and the banking industry's responsiveness to borrower demand.
