President Donald Trump announced Friday that he will raise U.S. tariffs on cars and trucks originating from the European Union next week, accusing the bloc of failing to adhere to a previous trade agreement.
Trump wrote on his platform, Truth Social: "Based on the European Union's failure to adhere to the fully agreed-upon trade deal, I will next week raise tariffs imposed on EU cars and trucks imported into the United States. The tariffs will be raised to 25%."
