The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defence announced that it detected four cruise missiles launched from Iran toward the UAE airspace.

In a statement carried by the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on Monday, the ministry said three of the missiles were intercepted over UAE territorial waters, while the fourth fell into the sea.

The ministry added that the sounds heard in various parts of the country were the result of the interception of the aerial threats.
