The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that such actions represent a flagrant violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2817, which guarantees the freedom of navigation and prohibits the targeting of commercial shipping in international waterways.
Additionally, the UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed that its air defense systems successfully intercepted four missiles launched from Iran on Monday. Three of the missiles were engaged and destroyed over the country’s territorial waters, while the fourth fell into the sea.
