Yasser Abbas, the eldest son of Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas, has won a seat on the Fatah Central Committee, the highest decision-making and leadership body within the movement.
The announcement followed the conclusion of the 8th Fatah General Congress, which held its voting sessions on Saturday across synchronized locations in Ramallah, Gaza, Cairo, and Beirut to bridge the geographical fragmentation of the movement.
