The Governor of Jerash, Dr. Malik Khreizat, chaired a meeting of the security council, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, Yazan Al-Khodair. The meeting was held to review the final preparations for the launch of the festival's activities and discuss organizational, service, and logistical readiness to ensure the event's success in a manner that befits Jordan.
​Khreizat emphasized that the Jerash Festival serves as a cultural and national window reflecting Jordan's identity and cultural heritage. He highlighted the importance of integrating efforts among all relevant authorities and completing all preparations according to the highest organizational standards to provide an environment that ensures visitor comfort and the smooth flow of events.
​For his part, Al-Khodair reviewed the main features of the new edition, which features 213 Jordanian, Arab, and international events held across more than 15 locations inside the archaeological city. This is in addition to the opening of "The Hippodrome" stage at the racetrack, which represents a qualitative addition to the festival, hosting various cultural and folklore performances alongside a market for local crafts and products.
​The meeting also addressed the progress of organizational and logistical work, including preparing event sites, upgrading entrances, completing service facilities, and adopting an electronic ticketing system. These measures aim to facilitate visitor movement and improve the quality of services provided ahead of the festival's scheduled launch, reinforcing its status as one of the region's prominent cultural festivals.
