Prime Minister Jafar Hassan stated during Sunday's Cabinet session that 86 new schools have been completed, alongside extensive classroom addition and kindergarten projects in less than a year—an accomplishment he described as an unprecedented milestone.
He explained that among the new schools, 14 were constructed through corporate social responsibility projects, expressing his gratitude to the private sector for supporting the establishment of these schools.
The Prime Minister emphasized that establishing the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development is not merely a change in name, but rather part of a comprehensive restructuring of operating methods and execution mechanisms required to ensure the success of the educational process across all stages.
He noted that the restructuring includes introducing modern technology, developing educational standards, supporting and building the capacities of male and female teachers, and enhancing school infrastructure.
On behalf of the Cabinet, the Prime Minister congratulated male and female students who passed the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi), wishing them success in this new phase of their lives and in their future endeavors.
The Prime Minister also extended his best wishes to students who were not as fortunate this time, encouraging them toward success in upcoming attempts or in exploring vocational, practical, and alternative career pathways.
He highlighted that the current year recorded the highest pass rate in Tawjihi history, stressing that this metric alone is not the sole benchmark. Rather, the true standard lies in the student's ability to adapt to labor market demands and improve overall learning outcomes.
Furthermore, he pointed to the importance of continuously evaluating the implementation of the new secondary education system and measuring its impact, with the objective of further developing it and providing students with the best possible school education.
