Jordanian referee Murad Al-Zawahreh confirmed in televised statements that all decisions made by the officiating team, led by international referee Adham Makhadmeh, during Friday's Super Cup semi-final between Al-Faisaly and Al-Wehdat were entirely correct.
Al-Zawahreh clarified that the refereeing choices were sound despite the debate surrounding several incidents during the match, which featured the first official implementation of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in Jordanian stadiums.
Al-Faisaly secured a spot in the tournament final after defeating Al-Wehdat 2–1, and now awaits the outcome of Saturday's clash between Al-Hussein Irbid and Al-Ramtha to determine their opponent in the title match.
