​During the fourth week of an intensified campaign targeting the lethal drug crystal methamphetamine, Jordan's Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) handled 125 cases across various governorates. The operations included 42 cases involving illicit trafficking and distribution, alongside 83 cases of drug possession and personal use.
​Law enforcement officers arrested 201 individuals in connection with these cases, comprising 64 suspects charged with dealing and distribution, and 137 individuals detained for drug consumption. Authorities confiscated a total of 1.238 kilograms of crystal meth from the suspects.
​A spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) affirmed that the crackdown will continue resolutely to raise public awareness regarding the severe dangers of crystal meth and to relentlessly pursue those handling or distributing the drug. The spokesperson noted that the substance poses fatal risks to users and fuels severe crimes that threaten community safety.
​The PSD renewed its call for citizens to fulfill their social responsibility by reporting any information regarding illicit narcotics or suspected individuals via the unified emergency hotline (911), assuring that all tips are processed with strict confidentiality and urgency.
