Jordanian Member of Parliament Ahmad Al-Raqab has called for the dismissal of the Minister of Education and Human Resources Development, characterizing the newly implemented secondary education "fields system" (Nizam Al-Huqool) as a failure that has caused severe confusion among students and damaged the international reputation of Jordan's General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi).
​Al-Raqab stated that a recent meeting held to address the system was impractical, noting that its outcomes remained ambiguous to both the minister and the parliamentary committee.
​He emphasized that the resulting disruption extends beyond students selecting academic tracks, warning that it compromises the Tawjihi credential itself—which he described as a crucial national asset. Al-Raqab cautioned against undermining the certificate's standing abroad, pointing out that the current framework places domestic constraints on students and may require those pursuing higher education overseas to take supplementary remedial courses.
​Questioning why Jordanian students are being subjected to these complications, MP Al-Raqab reaffirmed his total rejection of the fields system and renewed his demand for the minister's removal.
