AMMAN — The Unified Admissions Coordination Unit at the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development announced Sunday on its website the names of the top five percent of students eligible to apply for seats reserved for "bridging" (tajseer) transfer students in the regular program for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The unit split the listed students into two categories. The first covers the top five percent in the Comprehensive Exam for the 2025–2026 academic year, as determined by Al-Balqa Applied University; these students are not required to sit the unit's separate admission exam for bridging purposes. Their names, along with the minimum required score in the Comprehensive Exam for each major nationwide, can be found via the unit's website.
The second category covers the top five percent by cumulative GPA in each major, at the college and university level, among students who graduated in the past summer semester (2024–2025) and the first and second semesters of 2025–2026; these students are required to sit the unit's admission exam for bridging purposes. Their names and the minimum cumulative GPA for each major, college and university are likewise available via the unit's website.
Muhannad Al-Khatib, director of the Unified Admissions Coordination Unit, said the admission exam will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026, with full details to be announced later, noting that the exam's general framework and subject areas are already available on the unit's website.
Al-Khatib said applications for unified admission to the bridging stage, for both categories, will be accepted from September 6 to 10, 2026, with a detailed announcement on the process to follow from the unit at a later date.
