The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor, Mohammad Al-Ziyoud, confirmed that the implementation of unified electronic labor contracts in private schools and kindergartens remains valid, and news circulating regarding their cancellation is untrue.
The ministry explained in a statement on Thursday that the addendum to the collective labor agreement deposited with it confirms the validity of these contracts until July 2027.
Al-Ziyoud warned against non-compliance with these contracts in private schools and kindergartens, emphasizing that the ministry will take all legal measures against non-compliant parties.
For its part, the General Syndicate of Workers in Private Education confirmed that the letter from the Minister of Labor addressed to the Minister of Education and Human Resources Development on August 26, 2026, affirms the continuation of electronic contracts, the registration of all private school and kindergarten employees' contracts on the electronic platform, and the commitment of the Private School Owners Association to circulate notice to educational institutions on the necessity of abiding by this.
The syndicate stated in a statement on Thursday that this official confirmation reinforces the soundness of procedures related to the automation of labor contracts, stressing the need for private schools and kindergartens to adhere to the provisions of collective agreements signed with the Private School Owners Association, while calling on remaining educational institutions to expedite the registration of their employees' contracts via the electronic platform.
The syndicate clarified that the collective agreement signed with the Private School Owners Association—documented and deposited with the Ministry of Labor and published in the Official Gazette, alongside its two addendums—affirmed the automation of employee contracts. Electronic contracts began implementation in the 2024/2025 academic year, with 44,639 contracts registered that year and 44,634 contracts during the 2025/2026 academic year, while the registration process continues for the current academic year.
