The head of Al-Wehdat Club, Bashar Al-Hawamdeh, confirmed, on Saturday, to Al-Mamlaka, that the resignation of 6 members of the club's board of directors had been submitted to the Ministry of Youth, on Sunday, which means that the team's management is heading towards a temporary body.

6 members of the Units Board of Directors submitted their resignations, following the issuance of a decision to participate in the team's participation in the qualifying supplement to the AFC Champions League.

For its part, the Ministry of Youth told Al-Mamlaka that it had not received any resignation from the Board of Directors of Al-Wehdat Club, indicating that it would be submitted to the Capital Youth Directorate.

And last Thursday, Al-Wehdat Club announced, on Thursday, its participation in the qualifying supplement for the AFC Champions League, in front of the Emirati youth team, Al-Ahly Dubai, which includes a Palestinian player with Israeli citizenship.

Al-Wehdat said on the “Facebook” platform, that the club’s board of directors “decided unanimously to participate in the preliminary supplement to the AFC Champions League in front of the Emirati youth team Al-Ahly Dubai, taking into account providing the club’s interest above everything,” noting that “the match was imposed on the club, not of his own free will."

It is scheduled that Al-Wehdat, the runner-up of the Professional Football League last year and the holder of the Jordan Cup title, will face the Emirati team, which includes the player Moanis Dabour, who holds an Israeli passport, on August 15th, and the winner of this match will move to meet the Saudi Al-Nasr team on the 22nd of the same month. .

In the event that Al-Wehdat cannot pass these two matches, it will move to play in the AFC Cup.
