Secretary-General of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, stated on Saturday that Iran has officially informed mediators of its terms to resume negotiations aimed at ending the war with the United States.
Rezaei clarified in public statements that these conditions include a complete cessation of hostilities on all fronts, the unfreezing of Iranian assets, and an end to the naval blockade. He added that consultations remain ongoing with Qatari and Pakistani mediators, noting that Tehran is currently awaiting a response from U.S. President Donald Trump.
Rezaei argued that Trump's calculations regarding Iran were flawed, asserting that the conflict was incited by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"It is in Washington's best interest to accept our conditions to exit this war," Rezaei stated, adding that "Trump's threats will yield no results, and we are prepared for a decisive conflict."
He further claimed that Tehran understands the vulnerabilities of the U.S. military, emphasizing that Iran is better prepared than ever to counter potential airstrikes.
