The Jordan Falcons national basketball team will meet its New Zealand counterpart on Monday at the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippine capital, Manila, in the second round match of the World Cup Group C competition.

The two teams are looking to heal their wounds and cling to the opportunity to compensate after each of them suffered a loss in the first confrontation, as the "Jordan Falcons" lost to Greece (71-92), while the US team defeated New Zealand (99-72).

Despite the loss, the national team played a very good match, and the players made great efforts against the Greek national team, which is considered one of the strongest European teams and a candidate to reach an advanced stage in this edition of the World Cup.

Sunday's exercise witnessed the presence of all the players, as the coach of the national team, Wissam Al-Sous, focused on testing the technical plans to be applied in tomorrow's match.

The national team hopes to perform well against New Zealand and seek victory to revive its chances of achieving an advanced position in the World Cup and to maintain its hopes of achieving the best Asian position at the end of the tournament.

Where the team that occupies the best position on the Asian continent at the end of the current World Cup qualifies for the next Olympic Games (Paris 2024).

Our national team will conclude its matches in the group stage of the World Cup by meeting the United States next Wednesday.
