The Football Association is seeking to end the crisis by meeting with the presidents of Al-Faisaly, Al-Wahdat and Al-Jalil clubs, to reach a solution that satisfies all parties.
The Jordanian clubs participating in the sixth week of the professional league suspended their matches in protest against the Football Association’s failure to respond to their demands.
During its last meeting of club presidents, which was held at the Al-Wahdat Club headquarters, the clubs officially asked the Football Association to support the teams before the start of the season, by paying 200,000 dinars to each club participating in the league, as the Federation has not succeeded in securing a sponsoring company for the league so far, amid financial difficulties. Clubs are blown away.
The clubs of Ramtha, Sahab, Al-Hassan, Al-Hussein Irbid, Aqaba, Mughir Al-Sarhan, Al-Jalil, Al-Faisaly and Al-Ahly committed not to play the matches of the week.
Meanwhile, Al-Salt, Al-Wehdat, Ma’an and Shabab Al-Jordan clubs announced their commitment to the decision to suspend and not play tomorrow’s two matches, despite the Football Association’s letter sent to the clubs, which states that they will be forced to implement the instructions in accordance with the regulations and laws in the event of suspension of participation.
