On Friday, September 22, 2023, Zarqa University won first place in the Grand Salt Kickboxing Championship and second place in the third fall running race.
Student Moataz Mahmoud Saeed Hijazi from the College of Information Technology won first place and the gold medal in the Grand Salt Kickboxing Championship for 81 kg, which was organized by the Kings of the Ring Center under the supervision of the Jordanian Kickboxing Federation, with the participation of 29 clubs and 540 players.
Student Abeer Kafi from the College of Information Technology was able to win second place in the third fall running race for a distance of 6 km, organized by Run Through Jordan and under the slogan (Run for a better life, not for smoking) with wide participation from all segments of society and under the supervision of the Jordanian Athletics Federation.
The President of the University, Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, praised the students’ efforts and their continuous endeavor to participate in the various competitions that support their academic career and hone their practical skills, and provide them with the opportunity to prove their ability and excellence and stimulate the spirit of cooperation, participation and fair competition with their colleagues from Jordanian universities.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Majid Al-Masada, expressed his thanks to the students of Zarqa University who are keen to excel and advance the name of the university in the first places in various forums and competitions that develop the spirit of competitiveness and enhance work in the spirit of one team.
