Al- Nashama national team coach, Hussein Amouta, said that facing the South Korean national team is difficult, as it is considered a stubborn and highly experienced opponent.
Amouta added, during a press conference, “We expect a very strong confrontation, and we hope to be present at the required place and time, in order to guarantee our presence in the next round.”
He stated, "We are required to make sufficient effort, pay attention to the details, and be at the highest level in fighting spirit and with a distinctive reaction commensurate with the strength of the opponent."
He stressed that Al-Nashama’s victory over the Malaysian team was important, to empower the team system and the fans with a distinguished performance, which gave us confidence to face South Korea.
He continued: We are all confident, and we have the capabilities to achieve a good result against the Korean team.
He noted that today's final training sessions before facing the South Korean national team tomorrow, Saturday, will decide the fate of the injured players' participation in the ranks of Al-Nashama.
Regarding the player Mahmoud Mardi, he pointed out that he is one of the distinguished football players with the national team and the club, and the phrase he wrote after scoring a goal against Malaysia expresses the starving team, and everyone interprets it the way he wants, “It was possible for any player to put it... even me, and the expression “No one was affected, and the players’ reaction was a humanitarian matter.”
Regarding Mardi’s injury, he noted that he suffered a bruise in his thigh, after which he was forced to leave Al-Nashama’s match against Malaysia, and his participation will be decided after training.
He stressed that all teams participating in the tournament have great focus and a fighting spirit, indicating that the tournament plays on details and quick tactical decision-making.
In response to journalists' questions, he explained that individual monitoring has been abolished and is difficult and creates gaps and spaces in the defense, stressing that the players will not leave any spaces for the South Korean team.
