The Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, Eng. Abdul Rahim Al-Warikat, announced that the disbursement of fuel allowance subsidies to public transport operators for the month of October of the fourth quarter of 2023 will begin on Monday morning, January 22.
Eng. Al-Wreikat indicated that the deadline for disbursing this support will be the end of Thursday, February 29.
Al-Wreikat pointed out in a statement, Saturday, that this disbursement comes in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers, to support public transport operators on passenger lines and taxis within the jurisdiction of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, pointing to the completion of all procedures for fuel subsidies for those who deserve it, where the beneficiary operators can review the approved companies to fill their vehicles with fuel with the approved support values on the announced date.
Eng. Al-Wreikat added that the disbursement of these dues comes within the Jordanian government’s plan to continue bearing the costs of the difference in fuel prices on the operational costs of public transport fees for passengers to relieve citizens using public transport by not raising wages and bearing and paying these costs to operators by disbursing them to those entitled to them by filling fuel according to the type of fuel used for the means of transport and through approved gas stations in each governorate.
