Bahrain coach Juan Antonio Pizzi said his team is ready to face Jordan on Thursday at the end of the group stage of the Asian Cup in Qatar.
Pizzi added during his speech at the press conference on Wednesday: “I feel optimistic and confident in achieving victory over Jordan tomorrow.”
“A win will give us the opportunity to take a step forward and we know we’re going to face a tough opponent.”
He explained: “Jordan played well in the tournament, and played two big matches in the first and second rounds, and we monitored its capabilities well.”
“Yes, we are ready, and we miss the efforts of defender Amine Benadi due to injury, but we have the right replacement.”
For his part, Bahraini star Mohammed Marhoon said that his team prepared itself well to face Jordan.
Marhoon pointed out that the players aspire to provide a distinguished performance, to ensure the getting the three points, and officially qualify.
Jordan leads Group E with 4 points, ahead of second-placed South Korea on goal difference, followed by Bahrain with 3 points, and finally Malaysia without points.
