Orange Jordan is the first telecom operator in Jordan to announce the launch of the international roaming service of this voice call technology, as the company recently expanded its agreement with the US telecom operator AT&T to give Orange subscribers traveling to the United States the opportunity to enjoy the VoLTE roaming service.
The move comes In the context of the agreement between the two parties to operate international roaming services for customers traveling to the United States, following the American company’s cancellation of the service on the traditional second and third generation networks, given the need to keep pace with the great developments in this field and move to more advanced networks.
Regarding the launch of the international roaming service commercially for the first time from VoLTE technology, Eng. Walid Al-Dawlat, Executive Director of Information Technology and Networks at Orange Jordan, indicated that customers will be able to stay in touch with their loved ones during their travel periods to the United States of America in addition to benefiting from other features of this technology.
Al-Dawlat added: “Orange Jordan is constantly working to keep pace with the latest technologies and provide customers with the opportunity to benefit from them and employ them in their daily and practical lives, and the launch of the international roaming service from VoLTE comes in this context, especially in light of the various features offered by technology.”
VoLTE technology enhances the quality of voice calls through high-resolution and clear voice, simultaneous voice and data transmission during calls, and the ability to browse the Internet during a call that provides customers with a better experience, and supports lower battery consumption compared to regular voice calls.
