Arab Bank has recently concluded its "Art of Recycling" initiative, a three-month campaign in partnership with the Children’s Museum Jordan, aimed at raising children’s awareness about environmental preservation and promoting the concept of recycling materials to reduce negative environmental impacts by transforming them into innovative artistic creations. The initiative targeted children up to 12 years old, with over 3,655 participants taking part in various activities.

This initiative is part of Arab Bank's corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, which focuses on issues aligned with its values of citizenship and social responsibility. The bank is committed to ongoing collaboration with the Children’s Museum, reflecting its dedication to supporting educational and awareness-raising programs aimed at children.

The initiative’s activities, held at the museum, featured a range of workshops that encouraged using recycled plastic and paper as primary materials to artistic exhibits. Two recycling bins were placed at the museum’s entrance to encourage visitors to collect used plastic and paper for the artistic activities. This also aimed to inspire them to adopt waste sorting and recycling practices at home. The initiative’s diverse activities highlighted the importance of recycling through art, such as learning to reuse paper to make dough for creating animal sculptures like the oryx, and using plastic bottle caps to craft geometric artistic pieces.

Commenting on the initiative, Children’s Museum Director Sawsan Dalaq expressed gratitude to Arab Bank for launching the project at the museum, which caters to visitors aged 1 to 12. She emphasized that this initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to various segments of society and its responsibility in fostering a generation that cares about its environment and is aware of societal challenges. She hoped that the museum had played an active role in raising awareness about the environmental challenges threatening the community and future generations.

The Children’s Museum Jordan, a non-profit educational institution launched by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah in 2007, is located in Al Hussein Parks and houses over 190 interactive exhibits, along with educational facilities like a library, art studio, and secret garden. It offers educational programs, events, and exhibitions year-round.

Arab Bank’s comprehensive sustainability and CSR strategy reflects its dedication to enhancing its economic, social, and environmental impact by working closely with various stakeholders to achieve sustainable development. The bank’s CSR program, "Together," is a key initiative supporting multiple sectors, including health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, education, orphan care, and women’s empowerment.
