The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) announced that MBC Group, the largest media conglomerate in the Middle East and North Africa, has begun filming the new season of the hit talent The Voice: Ahla Sawt at Olivewood Studios in Jordan, alongside the new season of The Voice Kids. The production will run for four consecutive months.

RFC noted that Jordan’s selection as a host location is the result of years of effort to position the Kingdom on the global map of high-quality television and film production, reinforcing its role as a cultural and creative hub in the Arab world.

This major production provides a unique opportunity to showcase and invest in local talent while boosting Jordan’s creative industries sector, which has significant economic potential to both direct and indirect jobs. The project is expected to employ hundreds of Jordanians, including photographers, sound engineers, lighting technicians, and costume designers, and will engage 16 Jordanian companies in logistics and technical services.

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Imad Hijazin emphasized the importance of hosting this major Arab production, stating it reflects regional and international confidence in Jordan’s capabilities to deliver world-class production services, while highlighting the Kingdom’s rich and diverse tourism and cultural environment.

Hijazin added that the event serves as a strategic platform to promote Jordan globally by showcasing exceptional tourist and archaeological sites to millions of viewers, potentially boosting tourism flows to the Kingdom.

RFC General Manager Mohannad Al-Bakri affirmed that the project reflects the Commission’s success in developing Jordan’s film and television production infrastructure, underscoring the added value of Olivewood Studios.

Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board Dr. Abdulrazzaq Arabiyat described the filming as an unprecedented marketing opportunity to position Jordan as both a tourism and creative destination. He noted that scenes from the will highlight Jordan’s diverse tourism offerings—nature, heritage, and history—reaching tens of millions of viewers across the Arab world.

Arabiyat added that the initiative aligns with the Board’s strategy to leverage major media and artistic productions to enhance Jordan’s positive image and attract more visitors. The collaboration between MBC, RFC, and tourism bodies exemplifies the synergy between tourism, culture, and creative sectors for sustainable economic benefits.

Olivewood Studios Chairman Raja Gargour stressed the creative industries’ importance under Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision as a driver of youth employment, noting that hosting a production of this scale results from close cooperation among national institutions.

The production will also benefit the transportation and hospitality sectors, with Royal Jordanian handling air transport and hotels booking over 11,000 room nights during the filming period. Filming will take place across 10 diverse outdoor locations in the Kingdom, giving millions of Arab viewers the chance to experience Jordan’s beauty through MBC’s broadcasts. Previous seasons filmed in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia drew more than 100 million viewers.
