US Central Command said on Friday that US forces carried out strikes in self-defense against three underground storage facilities belonging to the Houthis in the areas they control in Yemen.

She added in a statement on the X website that the strikes targeted the capabilities used by the Houthis to threaten and attack naval vessels and commercial vessels in the region.



She also said that US Central Command forces destroyed four drones in Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen as a self-defense measure.

She continued that during the time frame of the US attacks on the drones, the Houthis launched four anti-ship ballistic missiles from areas under their control in Yemen towards the Red Sea.

“No casualties or damage were reported by US, coalition, or commercial vessels,” the statement said.
