Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf emphasized on Wednesday that "reopening the Strait of Hormuz is not possible in light of the flagrant violation of the ceasefire" represented by the ongoing U.S. blockade of Iranian seaports.
In a post on the X platform, Qalibaf stated, "A comprehensive ceasefire is meaningless in the face of a breach represented by a naval blockade and the holding of the global economy hostage."
He added, "The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz will not be possible under this blatant violation of the ceasefire."
