Iranian state media reported the activation of air defense systems in parts of the capital, Tehran, on Thursday evening following reports of "hostile aerial activity." This marks the first such incident since the ceasefire with the United States took effect.
The official IRNA news agency reported hearing "sounds of air defense fire" in western Tehran, while the Mehr news agency confirmed that systems were activated in several areas of the capital to intercept "hostile targets."
No further details regarding the nature of the targets or potential damage have been officially released.
