The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Thursday evening that three people were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon.
According to a ministry statement, an Israeli strike targeted the Shoukin road in the Nabatieh District—located approximately 30 kilometers from the southern border—resulting in three fatalities. A separate raid on the town of Yater resulted in two injuries, including a child.
These attacks occurred just hours before a scheduled second meeting in Washington between the Lebanese and Israeli ambassadors to the United States. During this meeting, Lebanon is expected to formally request an extension of the current ceasefire.
