Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, Real Madrid winger, showered praise on Barcelona talent Lamine Yamal, confirming that he is the type of player whom fans are happy to pay the price of a ticket just to enjoy their magic on the pitch.
Yamal has succeeded in dazzling the world since his first appearance at the age of fifteen. His track record is filled with La Liga and Copa del Rey titles with Barca, in addition to winning the UEFA European Championship with the Spanish national team. Today, Barcelona's number 10 is preparing to lead "La Roja" in the World Cup, surrounded by great praise from his traditional rival.
Vinicius stated to Caze TV, saying: "Lamine is one of those players people clearly pay money to see on the field. He is a great player, and facing him as an opponent is very difficult. I am sure that he, in turn, holds admiration and appreciation for Real Madrid players."
During his interview, Vinicius also touched upon the bitterness of exiting with another "trophyless" season with Real Madrid, after seeing Barcelona once again sit on the throne of La Liga.
The Brazilian star stressed: "It was a very difficult season. We started well, and there was a comfortable gap between us and Barcelona, but we then began dropping points by losing and drawing in matches where we should not have failed."
He continued: "We lost confidence in ourselves, while Barcelona continued to harvest victories. It is the first time I have spent two consecutive seasons without winning any title. We clearly failed. But we possess a team capable of returning to the podiums next year; Real Madrid always rises. I remember my first year was also very difficult, coinciding with the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo."
With Hansi Flick looking forward to achieving a third consecutive title next season, Real Madrid is preparing to start a new era under the leadership of "The Special One" Jose Mourinho, in a challenge through which the Royal club seeks to restore its lost pride.
On the other hand, Lamine Yamal is currently focusing on intensifying his rehabilitation program to accelerate his recovery from injury and return to the ranks of the Spanish national team as soon as possible.
The young star had missed the final stretches of the season with his team, and he is now in a "race against time" to be physically fit before the kickoff of the World Cup finals next month.
