B-1 Bomber

By Dr. Rashed Al-Shashani
Up to this moment, Trump has not been able to deliver a decisive blow, nor even an impactful one, in his war with Iran. He also still fears another reckless move that could cause things to slip out of his control even further than they already have. This anxiety drives Trump to try to clip Iran's claws, which have begun to hurt Trump significantly.
These claws differ from the arms; they are those that have grown recently after the war, including targeting neighboring countries, entangling Israel in a war where the United States finds itself forced to slide into walking right into Iran's ambushes, threatening the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and opening fronts that exceed the ability of the United States to control. Among them is also the quagmire of the Strait of Hormuz, whose blockade has become more costly for Trump than Iran shutting it down, as Iran plays with him the game of "bleeding time and wasting prestige."
Trump found himself compelled in the face of the failure of all his strikes—which were supposed to no longer be needed since the early days of the war, as he insists on the complete destruction of Iran's power along with its nuclear reactors—and therefore he must direct a strike that enables him to justify his failure. At the same time, this strike keeps him away from a ground adventure, or even an aerial one requiring proximity to danger zones, especially after American aircraft were downed by Iran. Most importantly, it keeps Israel away from the war as much as possible.
The B-1 bomber, which Trump intended to use to terrify Iran into rushing toward surrender in an effort to prove the seriousness of his threat, will add nothing to the "stone-breaking" mission led by Trump through his random adventures.
With this, Trump has burned his last card of strength, and he now has to find a new way to threaten. There is the idea of Syrian intervention, for which Trump might prepare Iranian Kurds in the event of Syrian stall tactics, and playing on the communication route with Hezbollah—the very same fears he instilled in the Iraqi Prime Minister, who went to catch his breath in Iran before clashing with its arms. These elements might be useful in turning the tables on whoever tries to blackmail him.
He has sunk himself deeper into Iran's quicksand. Trump was waiting for Iran to fear for its facilities from the strikes of this bomber, but what seems certain is that U.S. intelligence has failed once again in defining accurate targets, after Iran led them to focus attention on Jabal al-Fas and the idea of cutting railways and supply routes, which changed nothing in the war equation.
What remains certain is that Iran possesses a stockpile of secrets enabling it to play with the nerves of Trump and Netanyahu alongside him, something overlooked by their intelligence agencies and others, and this is what worries them most.
