The Management of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts announced the allocation of free parking areas for visitors attending the 40th edition of the festival. These parking lots are distributed across sites near the ancient city as part of an organizational plan aimed at facilitating public access to event venues, mitigating traffic congestion, and ensuring smooth traffic flow throughout the festival days.
The management confirmed that the approved parking locations include the new bus terminal parking in Jerash, the former Electricity Company parking, the Handicraft Market parking, the Amusement Park Plaza parking near the Amman Gate, the lot behind the old municipality building, as well as the Jerash University parking lot, thereby ensuring coverage for various city entrances and event venues.
It explained that the free parking areas have been prepared to receive visitors' vehicles, equipped with complimentary rapid transit shuttle buses departing periodically toward the festival gates. This allows the public to comfortably reach the gates, theaters, and plazas hosting the performances. It noted that the shuttles will begin operation before the start of events, continuing to transport visitors throughout the period leading up to the shows, and will be waiting after the performances conclude to return them to their designated parking areas, providing a more comfortable and seamless experience.
Furthermore, the festival management indicated that directional signboards have been posted along the roads leading to the ancient city of Jerash to guide visitors smoothly to the designated parking lots. This contributes to expediting arrival times and organizing traffic flow from the moment of entering the city up to the event sites. The management called on visitors to take advantage of these free services and adhere to the instructions of the organizational personnel, contributing to easier entry and exit movements while reflecting the high organizational standard that the festival management strives to provide, in keeping with the prestigious status of the Jerash Festival as one of the region's prominent cultural and artistic festivals.
