Jerash audiences experienced an extraordinary night of music with oud virtuoso Abadi Al-Johar, marking his first appearance at the Jerash Festival in its 40th edition.
It was a night that brought together the sweetest melodies with an authentic voice and tender emotion, blending profound lyrics with the depth and richness of Al-Johar's voice to one of the most memorable nights on the Southern Theater stage.
Before a large crowd, Al-Johar was welcomed with enthusiastic cheers, as fans eagerly awaited an unforgettable night with his authentic musical voice.
The artist finally took the stage after a long wait, with the crowd erupting in cheers to welcome him.
Speaking from the heart, Al-Johar greeted the Jerash audience warmly, expressing his happiness at performing at the Jerash Festival for the first time and at being among his people, brothers, and sisters. He noted he would open the evening with a tribute to Jordan, Amman, and the Jordanian people through a song based on the poetry of Dr. Saleh Al-Shadi, which he performed to a warm reception from the crowd.
Al-Johar performed a selection of his most beloved songs, including "Al-Jarh Arham," "Habibati Kul Al-Awathil Tashabeh," and "Tidreen Wa Adri Bin Naftareq," which the audience sang along to with great enthusiasm.
He showcased his exceptional skill on the oud, captivating the hearts of the Jerash audience and transporting them into a world of authentic artistry, accompanied by the musical ensemble led by conductor Amir Abdul Majeed.
The evening continued with more of Al-Johar's celebrated hits, including "Khalas Erja'" and "Al-Mazhariya," which the crowd clapped along to, followed by "Ya Mu'athabati."
As he performed "Min Athabi," the crowd's cheers grew louder, singing along with him, followed by "Ainak Akhir Amali," which the audience requested he repeat so they could sing it together again.
The concert continued with more favorites, including "Al-Kalam Al-Helw," "Sikka Taweela," and "Turja' Bikhair."
The night closed with "Qalu Tara," a song the audience had been requesting since the start of the concert — a request Al-Johar happily fulfilled, delighting them with his sweet voice.
At the end of the evening, Abadi Al-Johar thanked the Jerash audience for a special night filled with their enthusiasm and wonderful energy, expressing hope for more beautiful nights together in the future.
