US President Donald Trump stated that the war with Iran will end "probably before the midterm elections or immediately after," while emphasizing that Tehran strongly desires to reach a deal with Washington.
Trump added that Iran "wants to make a deal at any cost," but stressed that he will not sign an "imperfect deal," affirming that Tehran will not acquire a nuclear weapon.
In earlier remarks, Trump said the war would end directly following the midterm elections scheduled for November, noting that Iran is no longer able to endure for long.
On a separate matter, Trump called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to stop targeting oil facilities in Russia.
