The Social Security Corporation (SSC) urged establishments operating in the tourism sector and associated supporting industries to take advantage of extraordinary financial facilities approved by its board of directors before the end of Wednesday, September 30, 2026, marking the final deadline for eligibility.
The SSC stated that out of 1,238 indebted tourism and auxiliary enterprises identified, 620 establishments have entered into installment settlement agreements under the relief scheme to date. Meanwhile, 618 eligible businesses have yet to finalize installment agreements.
Under the relief framework, qualifying establishments are permitted to reschedule outstanding financial liabilities at a reduced annual interest rate of 1 percent. The initiative also offers businesses the option to defer the commencement of installment repayments until April 2027 at the latest, providing financial relief and operational flexibility to meet their obligations.
Reiterating that Wednesday, September 30, 2026, represents the final opportunity to execute installment agreements under the temporary measure, the SSC called on remaining eligible businesses to complete their applications before the deadline expires.
