As part of its strategy aimed at supporting and encouraging specialized and purposeful sports, and out of its keenness to back sporting initiatives and events that enhance Jordan's presence on the international sports map, Jordan Commercial Bank supported and sponsored the Jordan International Bridge Festival. The event kicked off on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the InterContinental Hotel - Amman, running for one week with broad participation from male and female players from Arab, Middle Eastern, European, and Asian countries.
The festival was held in its 43rd edition in conjunction with the 17th Arab Clubs Bridge Championship, with activities for both events continuing over the course of a week amid distinguished administrative and technical arrangements that reflect the stature Jordan has attained in hosting and organizing international and Arab bridge tournaments. The festival witnessed the participation of more than 200 male and female players representing a number of Arab and Middle Eastern countries, alongside participants from European and Asian nations, in competitions that annually attract an elite group of bridge players and champions due to the festival's role as a major sporting milestone and an opportunity to compete, gain experience, and achieve titles.
Jordan Commercial Bank's support for the festival aligns with its corporate social responsibility direction and falls within the framework of partnership between the private and sports sectors to support the continuity of events that bring together top bridge players from around the world.
In appreciation of Jordan Commercial Bank's support and sponsorship of the Jordan International Bridge Festival, the President of the Jordan Bridge Federation, Mr. Mamoun Al-Qutob, honored the bank by presenting an honorary plaque of thanks and appreciation. It was received by Mr. Rakan Al-Tarawneh, Deputy General Manager for Banking Operations at Jordan Commercial Bank, during the festival's closing dinner ceremony, as Mr. Al-Qutob commended the bank's continuous support for impactful sporting events and its role in making this international event hosted by the Kingdom a success.
