The general price index of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed last week at 4,124.7 points, up from 4,093.0 points the previous week—a gain of 0.77%.
Sector performance showed broad gains, with the financial sector rising by 0.84%, the services sector by 0.71%, and the industrial sector by 0.66%.
The daily average trading volume during the week of September 13 to 17 reached approximately 11 million JOD, bringing total weekly trading volume to nearly 55 million JOD across 29 million traded shares executed through 23,912 transactions.
The financial sector led market activity with a trading volume of 22.71 million JOD, accounting for 41.30% of total volume. The services sector followed with 16.64 million JOD (30.26%), while the industrial sector recorded 15.64 million JOD (28.44%).
Comparing the weekly closing prices of 131 traded companies against their previous closes, 84 companies posted share price gains, while 27 companies experienced declines.
