AMMAN — Building on the success of the inaugural edition in 2025 and continuing Zain Jordan's commitment—through its Esports Center—to support the esports sector, expand its practice, and promote professional development across the Kingdom, the Jordanian Esports Federation (JEF) and Zain Esports Center (Zain Esports Jo) have launched the second edition of the competitive tournament for Jordanian university students.
The holding of the second edition falls within Zain Jordan’s broader efforts via its Esports Center to advance the esports sector in the Kingdom, enhance its position as a rapidly growing global industry, and provide platforms and opportunities for young people to hone their skills, leverage their potential, and participate in professional competition. This initiative aims to discover emerging talent early, refine player capabilities, and supply the sector with competitors capable of advancing to regional and international stages.
These efforts reflect Zain's dedication to youth empowerment and the growth of esports as an integral part of the digital economy ecosystem. The sector offers promising avenues for cultivating digital skills, opening new horizons for youth, contributing to economic diversification, and creating future employment opportunities, thereby establishing a sustainable esports framework in Jordan and elevating the Kingdom's standing as a regional hub.
The tournament features students from 16 Jordanian universities, with each university represented by one male and one female player competing in EA Sports FC 27. The competition provides a dedicated platform for university students, encouraging emerging talent to discover their abilities, enhance their skills, and foster a competitive esports culture among Jordanian youth.
Qualifying rounds take place from October 9 to October 27, 2026, culminating in the final matches on October 30, 2026, at THE ARC in the King Hussein Business Park, featuring the qualifying players.
